Brainstorms

You post an idea. Others react and refine it. Builders commit to it. It becomes a product.

What is Brainstorms?

Brainstorms is the community idea board on Nullshot. Anyone can post a project concept, get feedback from others, and watch it go from a rough idea to a real built product.

It is not a suggestion box. Ideas posted here are visible to everyone, can be upvoted and discussed, and get picked up by builders inside Jams. The community shapes what gets built.

The Brainstorms feed

Each card shows the idea title, a short description, its current status (Exploring, Committed, etc.), the idea type (Web App, AI Agent, MCP), and a count of upvotes and comments.

The Brainstorms feed with idea cards

Use the search bar to find ideas by keyword. Sort By controls how the feed is ordered: Newest, Popular, or Oldest. Filter By narrows the list by type (e.g. Platform Tool), or by Your Brainstorms (Your Creations, Your Collaborations).

Posting an Idea

You start with a short sketch of your idea, and the platform then uses AI to turn it into a full document: analysis of the idea, product framing, features, and pages. Click Post Idea in the left sidebar.

In the modal:

  • Short Title: under 40 characters
  • Description: be specific (target users, problem, key features)
  • Idea Type: Web App, AI Agent, or MCP
  • Tags: up to 5

Click Create Post and the idea appears in the feed.

The Idea Detail Page

Open any idea card to see the full page: the AI-generated document (summary, analysis, product framing, features, pages) based on the idea. On the right, the panel shows creator, status, type, date, tags, and collaborators.

To support the idea, use Upvote at the bottom.

To discuss, use Discussion (threaded, sortable by Most Recent). Tag others with @username. As the creator, add a Seed comment to set direction.

To change tags or status, click Update Brainstorm. Statuses are Exploring (still in discussion) or Committed (someone is building it).

Committing to an Idea

When you've decided to build an idea, click Commit on the idea page.

A 3-step flow:

  1. Commitment message: write a short message to the community
  2. Start mode: choose how to start: from scratch (Start with Prompt, Start with Chat) or Choose Existing Jam
  3. Confirm: the idea becomes Committed and you appear as a collaborator

Anyone can commit to any idea, not just the creator.
